'How much exercise should you do?' For people with busy lives.

You will learn how much exercise to perform when you DO and DON'T have time. This simple article will help you plan ALL exercise including your cardio sessions.


We all know that exercise is the foundation of our lives considering our need to move around and save money. In school we all had to attend P.E. classes that had us hopping and skipping for 45-60 minutes a day, helping us to develop the consistent habit of being physically active. But now as working adults with families, how much exercise do we need to do, even when it seems like we don't have the time. You are about to learn how much exercise is necessary to live a healthy life and where you can squeeze it into your busy schedule.





How much exercise should you do?


The American Heart Association recommends many ideas to keep you fit and healthy and we are going to make it really CLEAR and HELPFUL:


The Recommendations:

  • Get at least 150 minutes per week (2 hours, 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity spreading the minutes over the week into sessions.

... if you do have time:

  • 75 minutes ( 1 hour, 15 minutes) per week of vigorous aerobic activity, spreading the minutes over the week into sessions

How hard to workout?:

  • Perform moderate - to high-intensity muscle-strengthening exercise (such as resistance training with weights or bodyweight exercises) on at least 2 days per week.

....when you don't have time:

  • Spend less time sitting and walk whenever you can. Any form of light-intensity activity is helpful. Do things like parking further away from the grocery store door or taking stairs when possible.

Quick Result Tip! : Increase the amount and intensity of exercise gradually over time. You can gain more benefits by being active at least 300 minutes (5 hours) per week!



BOTTOMLINE


These are the clear instructions to begin to receive the fitness results that you desire. You should at least do the minimal amount of exercise if you are desiring to have good results . For added fitness results, don't forget to control and monitor your eating. You can do it!
